Join us for a FREE concert at Fort Hunter Park - Central PA Friends of Jazz present The Steve Rudolph Quartet! Dauphin County Parks & Recreation is excited to offer a summer of fun events for the whole family with our Sunset Music & Movie Series!

Earth altars are known as ephemeral nature-based artworks. A forest mandala is one example of an earth altar. During this program, we will learn about the “how-to’s” and the health and A wellness benefits of creating earth altars/mandalas.

This energy-filled class provides an opportunity to experience West African culture through learning traditional dance movements accompanied by live music, using traditional drums (djembe, djun-dun).

Join us as we welcome over 50 craft beers to the 14th Annual Dauphin County BrewFest! Taste craft beer, listen to great music, taste gourmet foods, and learn how to brew beer yourself! 

Join Penn State Master Gardeners for a leisurely one-hour walk to learn about some of the many perennials, shrubs, and trees in the Park.

Children ages 6 to 8 will learn about animal adaptations, explore aquatic life in Paxton Creek and enjoy a live animal presentation. Each day we will explore a new topic including native trees, mammals, amphibians, insects and water/wetlands. Please register for only one week. Registration limited to 20 campers.

Every Tuesday (weather permitting), enjoy a moderately-paced walk around Wildwood Lake while enjoying the trees and animals at the park.

This adventurous wellness program is geared for those interested in learning how to kayak. Enjoy approximately six miles of easy paddling for approximately two hours on the normally gentle, tree lined Swatara Creek.
