Featured Actions

In order to achieve these goals, our actions are built around the following core beliefs:

  • We should prioritize services to older persons with the greatest economic and social needs.
  • All older persons should have the opportunity for maximum growth and development, health, happiness, well-being, and economic self-sufficiency.
  • Older individuals should have their autonomy (right to self-direction) respected.
  • Coordinate services with other County departments and community agencies in order to strengthen our ability to effectively serve older persons in need.

Benefits and Rights for Older Pennsylvanians Booklet

The Pennsylvania Department of Aging has announced that its "2022 Benefits and Rights Book" booklet is available at Area Agencies on Aging across the state and online.

The 103-page booklet is funded by the department and the Pennsylvania Lottery. It provides information about federal, state and local government programs and services and nongovernmental resources that can help older adults live well in their own homes and communities.
