The Department of Drug and Alcohol Services has been designated by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs and the Dauphin County Commissioners as the Single County Authority (SCA) for Dauphin County to plan, coordinate, administer, and monitor the use of State and Federal funds provided by DDAP for drug and alcohol services. Services are provided by private subcontracted agencies.


The goal of all services offered and funded by this Department is to increase the self-sufficiency of individuals and communities.

• Persons Who Inject Drugs
• Women with Children
• Overdose Survivors
• Veterans

 

Advisory Board

The Department employs a full-time Administrator who works with an advisory board. The Advisory Board of citizen volunteers, selected by the Dauphin County Commissioners, assists the Administrator in prioritizing services and overall service delivery. Recommendations from this board are presented to the Dauphin County Board of Commissioners who consider the recommendations and then decide a course of action.

The Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board meets on the second Wednesday of every other month at 11:30 AM.
