    Friends of Wildwood Winter Lecture Series - Sustainable Food Systems: Permaculture

    Join the Friends of Wildwood for the third lecture of this year’s Winter Sustainability Series. Adam Dusen and Sunghee Kim, permaculture farmers and owners of Hundred Fruit Farm, will be sharing their expertise on permaculture, a system of applied ecological design that creates agricultural systems based on natural ecosystems.     Beginner Fly-Tying Course with Trout Unlimited

    The Doc Fritchey Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold a 6-week evening course on beginners fly-tying at the Olewine Nature Center. The class will be conducted on 6 consecutive Thursday evenings beginning on February 13 and ending on March 20 (Snow-date March 27). This is a beginner course open to anyone interested in learning to tie flies. Everyone must provide their own tools. If you need to purchase tools, Trout Unlimited offers tool packages for a separate fee. Materials for all flies will be provided at each class. Participants must be 14 years old, those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

    Intermediate Fly-Tying Course with Trout Unlimited

    The Doc Fritchey Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold a 6-week evening course on intermediate fly-tying at the Olewine Nature Center. The class will be conducted on 6 consecutive Thursday evenings beginning on February 13 and ending on March 20 (Snow-date March 27). This is an intermediate course and is intended for anyone who is familiar with entry-level tying techniques. Each year new flies are tied during this course, and repeat students are encouraged to attend. Everyone must provide their own tools. Materials for all flies will be provided at each class. Participants must be 14 years old, those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
