Recovery Court Graduates Inspire after Overcoming Obstacles
HARRISBURG, PA (February 27, 2024) – Dauphin County’s Richard A. Lewis Live Your (R.A.L.L.Y.) Recovery Court, formerly known as Drug Court, held its 32nd graduation ceremony on Tuesday, February 27th to honor seven participants who successfully completed the intense rehabilitation program.
The R.A.L.L.Y. Recovery Court program is designed to offer individuals who have contact with the criminal justice system --as well as those who have drug and/or alcohol use disorders --the opportunity to participate in treatment combined with intensive community supervision in lieu of incarceration. This process assists individuals in returning to a healthy lifestyle while becoming more productive members of society.
John Cassiano, a Dauphin County Drug Court Alumnus (2014), delivered the keynote speech.
Judge Edward M. Marsico, Jr., Presiding Judge of the RALLY Recovery Court Program, provided opening and closing remarks.
Seven graduates each had the opportunity to deliver a speech about their experiences while in RALLY Recovery Court.
Since the program began in 2008, it has graduated a total of 132 participants, not including the seven individuals who will be graduating on February 27th.
