Visit the Olewine Nature Center to view and vote for your favorite photos! Take a tour of beautiful photographs from all of Dauphin County’s parks. Winners will be announced at the Photo Contest Reception on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm.

Every Tuesday (weather permitting), enjoy a moderately-paced walk around Wildwood Lake while enjoying the trees and animals at the park.

Stop by the Nature Center Bird Viewing Area for a warm cup of bird- friendly coffee, tea or hot cocoa with Appalachian Audubon Society.

Children and adults are invited to make holiday ornaments using pinecones, milkweed pods and other natural materials. Everything but creativity will be supplied to make works of art to decorate for the holidays.

Children and adults are invited to paint three upcycled nutcrackers made from recycled champagne corks and paper straws. Everything but creativity will be supplied to make these charming fellows just in time for the holidays.

Learn the basics of painting with watercolors under the guidance of a Naturalist. Participants 14 years or older will have the opportunity to make 3 simple, 5x7 holiday-themed greeting cards.
