Weekly Wellness Walks
Enjoy a moderately paced walk around Wildwood Lake while enjoying the trees and animals at the park.
This volunteer-led walk happens weekly, year-round on Wednesdays at Wilwood Park from 1-2 PM, weather permitting.
June, July & August - The walk will occur from 6-7 PM.
This will be a walk on paved, gravel, and dirt surfaces. You can choose to walk only a portion, then turn around at any point if you would like to customize the length of your walk to your individual fitness goals. It's a great way to walk with a group.
- Sneakers or comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- We also encourage you to bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
- Dress for the weather - layers are great
- You may want a hat, sunscreen, or bug spray
- A restroom is available at the walking site along with ample free parking.
- Pre-registration is required. Please check your email 1-hour before the start time for any last-minute weather cancellations or updates. This is part of the Dauphin County Park Rx series of programs sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield.
This is a free program. Pre-registration is required.
NOTE: These walks will not occur if the weather is forecast for significant rain, threat of a thunderstorm, or snow| or ice on the trail. Once registered, you will receive an email should the program be canceled.
