Penn State Extension Master Gardener - Made for the Shade: Choosing the Best Plants
Saturday, November 16 9:30 am – 11:00 am
Wildwood Park $10 per participant
Do you have a shady area where the grass isn’t growing? Or maybe you’ve planted only hostas? Worse, do you have invasive plants like Japanese pachysandra, periwinkle, or English ivy? Join Penn State Master Gardener Kevin Kelly for the final webinar of his popular Home Gardening Series. He will discuss the differences between shade and part shade, and introduce a variety of shrubs, perennials, and a few understory trees that can brighten up your shade garden. Many of the plants will be natives, though there are a few excellent non-native choices as well. Some of these plants are underused in most gardens but would make great additions to your landscape.
Preregistration is required. Registration is required to receive the link to access the webinar. A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants within ten business days after the live event. The recording will be accessible for six months from the event date.
