Gov. Shapiro Appoints Hartwick to PA Behavioral Health Commission

 

HARRISBURG (Jan. 10, 2024) Gov. Josh Shapiro has appointed Dauphin County Commissioner George Hartwick, III to the Pennsylvania Behavioral Commission.

 

Hartwick has had oversight off the county’s Human Services Department, which includes the care and management of Mental Health, Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. 

 

Hartwick, a native of Steelton, has also been active in mental health issues at the state and national levels, as part of the leadership team for the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) and the National Association of County Officials (NACO).

 

He was chosen by CCAP as the County Commissioner of the Year for 2023.
