Ladies Nite Out to Offer Health and Wellness Tips, Prizes and More on

March 15 at Wiconisco Fire Company

HARRISBURG (March 1, 2024) Dauphin County Commissioners George Hartwick, III, Justin Douglas and Mike Pries invite all ladies 16 and older in Dauphin County to celebrate spring with a free health and wellness event to be held from 6 to 9 pm on Friday, March 15 at the Wiconisco Fire Company.

Free entertainment, contests and prize giveaways will be part of an evening of friendship and camaraderie organized by the Northern Dauphin Human Services Center, to be held at the Wiconisco Fire Company, 387 Arch Street, Wiconisco.

The community is warmly invited to take part in the circus themed costume and/or karaoke contests. Join our entertaining emcee Heather Holloway and Laura Cullison with guest appearance by popular WHTM-TV 27 anchorwoman Valerie Pritchett.

Collections will be held for Lifeline Pregnancy Center (to include baby snacks, newborn through toddler pajamas and bottles), Family Promise (household items), and K9 Hope (dog toys and treats). For a full list of needed items, please visit the Facebook page at “Ladies Night Out.”

“Last year, we had more than 300 women gather together for this event, and it was met with rave reviews,” Commissioner Hartwick said. “We invite all those ladies back and invite new guests as well to see why this event is so anticipated, talked about and enjoyed all year.”

“As caretakers, women take on many roles, and caring for themselves often becomes a low priority,” said Commissioner Pries. “This Friday night out is a chance to overcome the cabin fever of winter and to reconnect with other women and experts in the field of health and wellness, to inspire, inform and uplift.”

“We especially appreciate those who donate to the collections of goods and services for babies, families, and pets in need of assistance,” Commissioner Douglas said. “We thank you in advance for all your donations of items from baby bottles and wipes to shampoo, trash bags, printer paper, and dog training treats and toys.”
