Mission Statement

The Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging provides essential services to residents of Dauphin County who are 60 years of age or older.  The Agency recognizes the inherent dignity of older adults and we strive to empower them with independence, safety and security.

The Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging is committed to using our resources wisely and efficiently.

We are committed to working closely with our clients and their family members to develop plans of care that are consistent with their desires and needs.

We are committed to providing a diverse array of resources for the older adults of Dauphin County. These resources will include senior centers where individuals can gather to exercise and socialize; home delivered meals and congregate meals which provide nutritious and balanced meals five days each week; insurance counseling to assist in choosing coverage that fits your individual needs; a team of dedicated and professional care managers who will work closely with clients and families to ensure they receive those services which can sustain and improve their quality of life.

We are committed to mobilizing all available resources in Dauphin County to combat and bring to justice anyone who attempts to harm or exploit an older adult.
